Since 1977 the society has set out to be open and inclusive. The membership is comprised of artists, crafts people, collectors and friends of the society who are primarily based throughout Ireland.A voluntary non-profit organization, we rely on our membership fees and grants to enable us to provide yearly activities.Currently, Ceramics Ireland hosts two members exhibitions per annum.

 

Other opportunities for our members include numerous awards. These awards, offered annually at our adjudicated exhibition, include the Ceramics Ireland Professional Practice Award, Ceramics Ireland Award for Creativity and Craftsmanship, and the So Fine Arts Award.

 

The ‘Ceramics Ireland’ magazine is produced annually and distributed throughout Ireland. We regularly travel to international conferences to promote the magazine and ceramic practice in Ireland this has resulted in raising our international profile.

 

We continually take opportunities to promote Irish ceramics and it’s members, both nationally and internationally, enabling us to raise the profile of ceramics as a collectable art form. We recognise the skills and craftsmanship of artists working in clay and the importance of ceramics in contemporary art practice today.
